It all started with a post on the family Facebook page after a family reunion. The picture. THAT picture. Where I looked like I had been poured into my jeans like a sausage ready to pop. Did I really look like that? I found a bootcamp and quickly lost the weight. I became painfully skinny and then my fitness journey steered me in the direction weight lifting and resistance training. I started off with Body Pump, and then quickly graduated to the likes of Crossfit. After a few injuries, I researched safer ways to train. Soon, I realized that my personal passion was something that I wanted to share with others.
Women tend to give all their energy and strength outwards. We take care of everyone else first. One of my greatest joys is to see a woman's eyes light up with realization that she is strong. I didn't make her strong. And she isn't all of a sudden magically strong one day. What happens is that she starts to embrace the strength THAT WAS ALWAYS there for HERSELF.
As women, we often take on the external pressures and expectations... from family, career, society... and often the greatest chains that hold us back are the ones we impose on ourselves. When a woman embraces her strength, it permeates into all areas of her life. Breaking the chains and setting her free.
