I have had Hashimotos for over 15 years and I have struggled for years to find a trainer that understands the disease and the correct training program to help me lose weight, gain strength and muscle. This played a huge role in improving my thyroid function and weight management. My doctors were very happy with my progress.
Covid changed two things for people over 60... you were banned from gyms and considered "past your sell by date" by the authorities. For an active 70+ individual running her own company, who went to the gym regularly and played golf, this was both demeaning and insulting! Hence, I began to research special fitness programmes for over 60s, with limited success and immediately saw a gap in the market.
After consulting several fitness specialists, I was introduced to Dawn. We developed a special programme to manage those parts of the body prone to ageing - the upper arms, the inner thighs and the stomach. Two years on, I am still following the same routine and never ever admit to my age... as it is not reflected in my body shape.
